This shot was taken at Round Valley in NJ this past Memorial Day weekend. On a day it threatened rain. We took a chance. The camera part only lasted five minutes tops until we made an executive decision to return the cameras to the car and continue on the hike with only our eyes to remember things by. This particular shot is made up of six, look below to see how i did it.
1) I stitched three together to form the image on the right, and stitched three more together to form the image on the left.
2) I then reduced the size of the image on the left hand side so it would match the image plane of the image on the right.
3) Then began extensive retouching to rebuild the areas that were missing in the foreground, sky and trees. Followed by balancing the color and lightness throughout, and enhancing the details with a tonal contrast filter.
This one was a challenge but worth the work. Perhaps time could be saved in the long run by a wide angle lens? But what fun is that?!!
Snap on my friends!

**If you want more detail on how I recreated areas, and worked with the color please don’t hesitate to ask.

Bitchin Stichin
you have been creative indeed…i love the tutorial
had you used a wide angle -> you wouldn’t be left with an image that you could print twice as big
very true!!
